First tooth of dinosaur found
at Toyama prefectute

In June. 1999, the first tooth of dinosaur was found at Toyama prefecture, central Japan.

Locality:Ooyama-machi ,Toyama prefecture, central Japan. This formation is Ealry Cretaceous in age. Footprints of Toyamasauripus masuiae were found on the same surface of the cliff before.

Characteristic:It's about 23mm in length and about 13mm in width. In this specimen, serrations are found obviously on the right(inner) side. It curves towards the top of the tooth.

This leaves the possibility that it's the left maxillary tooth of the middle-sized theropod dinosaurs, which species is not clear.
