三畳紀は恐竜が登場した時代と思われていますが、実際に登場したのは後期になってから。
日本でも、岡山や広島、山口には三畳紀後期の地層があるそうです。では、三畳紀の生態系はどんな環境で、どんな生物がいたのでしょう。
Triassic Life on Land（Columbia Univ Press）は、恐竜の時代が始まった三畳紀についての著です。著者はスミソニアン自然史博物館のHans-Dieter Sues と Nicholas Fraserです。
