Maleri Formation(Late Triassic)の最新ニュース

　2009年英国・ブリストルで開催されたSVP年会で開催されたシンポジウムをまとめた論文集が出版されています。

　Earth and Environmental Science 　Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburghの101 Special Issue 3-4 で、サブタイトルは、"Late Triassic Terrestrial Biotas and the Rise of Dinosaurs（三畳紀後期の動物相と恐竜の出現）"です。

　豊富な内容で、全ては紹介できませんが、新種記載論文を紹介します。

　インドで発見された三畳紀後期の2種の竜脚形類で、プラテオサウリア類では無い（non-plateosaurian ） Nambalia roychowdhurii　と、プラテオサウリア類の Jaklapallisaurus asymmetrica　です。

　同じ地層からは、5つの恐竜形類の化石が見つかっているそうです。
